Donna opened meeting at 15:00 with a scripture reading from St. Paul re: never tiring of doing good for others.
MikeB followed with the opening prayer.
Donna distributed copies of the business meeting agenda.
Topic One: Business meeting schedule. Business meetings will be the first Sunday of each Month. All band members and wives are welcome to attend. Required unless otherwise specified will be Barney, Mike and Donna. Next meeting will be Dec 4 at barneys house unless work schedule requires meetig to be at MBs.
Topic Two: Communication. Donna will be responsible for notifying the band families of upcoming events by email. Donna also encouraged each band member to work harder to communicate the band schedule by whichever means works best for each family.
Topic Three: Treat project Like Business: (PAY Band Members). Donna suggested we come up with a percentage of the gross per month to compensate each band member ie: 10% to be paid after proceeds from each month were accounted. Barney B thought that prior to doing this the project should be more fiancaially structured. He proposed getting a bid from a accounting service provided by Leah Lin. The service would take care of all bookeeping and rfinancial reporting to the State (for incoroporation) and to the Feds for taxes. He also did not like the idea of paying from the gross. It was aggreed that BB will contact Leah Lin and hopefully have a bid for us to consider for the Dec. 4 meeting. Discussion of payment to band will be postponed to the Dec. 4 meeting
Topic Four: Binging Beahn Kids into the mix. Should they be paid? This question will be considered down the road when the project has evolved. Concern for keeping track of the Kids at festivals has been raised.All agreed we need a solid plan going into the festivals of how to keep track of all the kids. Working with families involved to make certain we have a plan by NTIF.
Topic Five: Booking. MikeB will continue the established
relationship with Tipperary Inn and Trinity Hall. Donna will hall all other
inquiries including new pub gigs such as the Irish Pub in Plano and the Royal
Dragoon in (Killeen/Kilgore?). The other inquies such as Chris Tolars Wedding,
TCA/Arts Council Gigs and others will be screened by Donna. She will apply the
biblical principal of running with the footman before riding with the chariots.
She will bring gigs to the BAND for input/approval.
MikeB will contact Tipp and Trin to see what their avail dates are for January.
Currently no gigs scheduled past Dec 2. All band members must submit January
Avails ASAP.
TOPIC Six: donna proposes formation of three sub
committees who will handle detail business outside the regular business meeting.

MikeB proposed adding JoeB to publicity subcommittee. All enthusiastically agreed!
TOPIC Seven: Publicity. Mike and rusty to consolidate the email lists. Rusty to do posters. DadB available and willing to take posters to Tipp and Trin. MikeB to continue to do the web work. JoeB to be recruited for the publicity committee.
TOPIC eight: MUSIC. Barney proposes moving the BEHAN singds BEHAN cd project to the third CD. In order to make the goal of 2nd CD by next CHF, CD 2 should be songs we already do. Helen is going to be invited to sing with the band. need to schedule rehearsals specific to what she wants to do.
TOPIC nine: St. Patrick's Day annual songbook. Becky Sebastion volunteered to do production and advertsing sales on project. MikeB or Rusty needs to contact her to accept her offer.
TOPIC ten: Request from Karen George to sponsor her on Diabetes walk was accepted.
TOPIC eleven: Nov 13 at Slider and Blues. Surprise party for dad behans 75th will be open to BEHAN family and fans! Don't tell DAD. BEHAN will play one set.
